Being inspired by The Beat Generation and Jack Kerouac’s ‘On The Road’ it’ll be interesting to see what ‘exclusive content’ is added to the newly released iPad App of Jack Kerouac’s classic 1957 novel.   Available at a special introductory price until July 5, Penguin’s On The Road App features exclusive content and never-before-seen documents, including prized family photographs from the Kerouac estate and reproductions of the 120-foot scroll that the novel was first written on. According to the blurb, the App promises to “immerse readers in the book’s backstory and legacy - making for a truly unique literary encounter.” Not sure what Jack would make of it though….
